Weekly Photo Challenge: Silhouette

The silhouette of these coastal trees as the sun was setting low in the western California sky was such a memorable moment! The golden-orange rays of the waning sunlight filled the air with its glow and put a smile on my face.

Yes, I am a desert dweller for sure, but I also love the west coast and its rugged tree filled beauty and untamable shores. I guess it’ll always be a special place for me as I grew up in this area during my childhood days.

I’ll be honest.. when I first saw these photos I thought that it was a forest fire. Such intense colors coming through the trees. Great shots!

Oh my! Thank God no fire – unless we take into consideration that the intense color was caused from a giant fireball-the sun!

Thank you. I’m an amateur photographer at best, but truly enjoy the ‘challenge’ of trying to capture the beauty of nature on camera to share with others. 😊
