The Good Shepherd

Psalm 23

A psalm of David.

1The Lord is my shepherd,
I lack nothing.
2He takes me to lush pastures,
he leads me to refreshing water.
3He restores my strength.
He leads me down the right paths
for the sake of his reputation.
4Even when I must walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no danger,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff reassure me.
5You prepare a feast before me
in plain sight of my enemies.
You refresh my head with oil;
my cup is completely full.
6Surely your goodness and faithfulness will pursue me all my days,
and I will live in the Lord’s house for the rest of my life.

It is officially 2016 today, and more than any other desire, I want to  share the goodness of the Lord Jesus with you. To know Him is a special kind of joy, and the thrill of following Him in this life is summed up so well in the above Psalm.

May His forgiveness and grace be yours as there is no greater gift or treasure to be found in this life.

Wishing all a joyful, healthy and prosperous new year!

Blessed [is] the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and [that] spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. Jeremiah 17:8,9
